My 1000 blessings. I'll count ten per week for . . . ummm, you know - -a long time. Blame my right brain dominance for not know the answer to that! (or is it left-brained?) Anyway, here it goes . . .
1. "Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart, His blood has paid my ransom."
2. His forgiveness is new every day.
3. He gave me a faithful husband who desires to live a life that is right and good and godly -- with me!
4. He gave me a daughter, who, when I look into her eyes, I see myself -- only better and stronger and smarter.
5. He gave me a son who is bold and persistent . . . and challenges every bit of me -- but who never fails to let the hard winds blow over and around him and forgives freely.
6. He gave me another son, more gentle, more quiet. Mostly. A son who I pray will be like his namesake in the Bible "who was bold and unafraid. Who saw Your promises and walked in your truth. Who followed You wholeheartedly and had a different spirit in him."
7. He decided I would be a bit like both of my parents -- the multi-tasking humor of my mother, and the visionary deep waters of my dad. Although, Dad's waters run much deeper than mine!
8. He gave me two other children of my heart. Another daughter to my husband, with a passionate heart and strong spirit. And another son, my husband's first, with a patient soul and a steady strength. And I call them friends.
9. He gave me a little corner of the world that's surrounded by cows and trees and fields -- not houses and roads and noise.
10. He allowed me almost 42 years with Grace Lester Marshall, my grandmother.
